'Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy' Trailer: Suspect Everyone

In recent years, we've learned better than to judge a movie by its trailer. But "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy" is sure challenging that ideal. A second trailer has hit the web courtesy of MSN, and on the surface the Cold War-set espionage thriller certainly looks flawless. The movie won us over once it announced that its leads included Gary Oldman, Tom Hardy, Colin Firth, Benedict Cumberbatch, Toby Jones, John Hurt and Ciaran Hinds, but this look at "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy" also shows that it's going to be putting the ensemble of actors to good use. Check it out past the jump! A month ago the international teaser hit the web and appropriately whetted our appetite for more. But this more direct look at the movie is one of our favorite trailers that we've seen all year. "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy" is about a conspiracy, in case you missed it, but what's key is that we only get a brief tease of what that conspiracy is without the entire plot being given away. And goodness if we aren't intrigued by it. Oldman plays a lead MI6 who is forced out of retirement to investigate an agent from the Soviet Union who has made his way into the ranks of MI6. So is it Tinker, Tailor, Solider or Spy? The trailer doesn't even imply that it is one over the other. It's been a complaint in recent years that movie trailers for flicks like the first "Iron Man" or the failed romcom "Leap Year" give away the entire story in the two-minute video that's supposed to be teasing it, and it's so refreshing to see that "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy" has escaped that problem. In fact, we'd argue we're that much more intrigued by the movie because its trailer was so cryptic. Fortunately, the movie is being released on November 18, so we don't have very long to wait to find out who the mole is. What did you think of this new "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy" trailer?
